Today, I want you to celebrate.
Today I want you to celebrate.
I want you to interrupt the nasty habit you have of telling yourself over and over again that what you’re doing isn’t quite right and I want you to celebrate.
I want you to pull out your journal or a random piece of paper and write “Good Stuff” at the top. Then, I want you to start writing every little thing you’ve done since January 1st that you are even remotely proud of.
I want you to write about the three days you’ve actually drank enough water and the time you said no to someone even though you thought you really SHOULD say yes but you really WANTED to say no and you DID. I want you to write how you called that friend you’ve been meaning to call forever or how you smiled at a random stranger in the parking lot and they smiled back. Just start writing and keep on writing until you completely run out of things to write.
Then, I want you to take a deep breath and read your list and allow yourself to be PROUD of yourself for all the good. No second-guessing, no “I should have done better”, no “that doesn’t really count”, no perfection. I want you to just allow yourself to be satisfied and happy with all the moments you’ve chosen to do good things “just because” and for this moment, I want you to choose to just BE ENOUGH for yourself.
Sending you so much love,
Elsa
